The amount of chinese modal particles its particularly high,but frecuently used are only a dozen.Although they are not so many,it is very hard for foreign students to understand the basic minning and use of the modal particles.For example,when it comes to oral communication,we have found that usually they don't use the modal particles when they should,and they do use the modal particles when they shouldn't.Also they students misuse them.Why do they make this kind of errors? This is something that we,the students of the “Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages” should research.The modal particles seem to be easy to learn,but in fact it's really hard.This is because they have many different mining and uses,and sometimes the modal particle “A” and “B” have similarities and differences,if someone doesn't understand the rule behind them it's easy to make mistakes.Many teachers during the lessons,or students during their learning process fail to recognize the importance of them,so as a result there are many students that don't really know how to use them.In fact,there are many different reasons that might cause the students to make mistakes,and thus affect the communication.This is no exception for Indonesian students.In terms of research on mistakes of modal particles to Indonesian students learning Chinese there is no related material,therefore this work represents a further research in the circumstances of their acquisition of the rules.First,it was done a survey to 58 Indonesian students currently studying Chinese in China,and the results revealed that the rate of mistakes where 40% and these mistakes where carefully analyzed.Then this article makes a comparison between the modal particles “Ba”,“Ma”,“Ne” in Indonesian and Chinese language,focusing in the uses and the meaning of these Chinese modal particles.Finally we propose a teaching strategy of the modal particles “Ba”,“Ma”,“Ne” that hopefully will be useful to every teacher.
