The Cognitive Psychology stems from the middle of the 1950 s.It emphasizes the inner structure and development of human beings.The research achievement of it is guiding significant in textbook compilation.There are four vital parts in teaching Chinese as a second language,which of them are system design,textbook compilation,classroom teaching and language testing.Text book compilation plays a significant role as it is the embodiment of system design and the basement of the classroom teaching and language testing.In the meanwhile,textbook is the media of teaching and learning.As the importance of text compilation,the research on textbook makes sense.This paper chooses three typical textbooks which includes:The Chinese Textbook,the first Chinese textbook published in 1950s;A Course in Chinese Language,which makes a summary of all the textbooks of the 20 th century;New Practical Chinese Reader,which is published at the beginning of 21 st century.Based on the comparison of the three textbooks,the article discusses the problem of how Cognitive Psychology be better applied in the textbook compilation from the perspective of development.Chapter one is a brief introduction which includes the generation of the Cognitive Psychology,its basic viewpoint and the application of it in textbook compilation.Chapter two analyzes the application of the Cognitive Psychology in vocabulary arrangement.Based on the comparative analysis of the vocabulary arrangement in the three books,the article summarizes the enlightenment which includes indication of the cognitive structure in vocabulary,paying attention to the construction of vocabulary.Then applies to the specific class hour properly.Chapter three is about the application of Cognitive Psychology in grammar arrangement.The article analyzes the grammar arrangement in the three books and comes to a conclusion that it's necessary to take students' acquisition order into account.With the guidance of the theory of Information Processing,the grammar should be arranged in an orderly way and the repetition must be taken seriously at the same time.Chapter four analyzes the application of CognitivePsychology in text arrangement.The analyze of the text of the three books is based on the Hierarchy theory and Information Proceeding theory.We can learn from it that the selection and arrangement of context is significant in text arrangement.Text learning is not just language point training.The rational and ordered language output is not goofy conversation but natural output in a certain situation.
