Analysis Of Chinglish In College English Writing

Chinglish is an inter-lingual error which carries on the interference of Chinese.It belongs to neither English nor Chinese.In recent years,more and more scholars turn to studying Chinglish.With the influence of language transfer and different thinking modes,Chinglish comes everywhere along with Chinese learners in their English learning process,even English majors cannot avoid it definitely.When we study college English writing,Chinglish stands out,and it has been a "chronic disease" in English teaching and learning for Chinese learners.Writing is the most comprehensive way to evaluate a learner's language ability and Chinglish has perplexed Chinese students and teachers for years because it is the stumbling block for students to express authentic English.These years,the study of Chinglish is hot but still need further research.The author tails after the writings from an Experimental class in Tianjin University of Finance and Economics for one term and tries to apply the related theory of SLA,Error Analysis and Contrastive Analysis to make a comprehensive analysis of the errors in the learning process of non-English majors.The aim of this thesis is to find out a set of corresponding strategies and teaching methods to lead college students to overcome the influence of their mother tongue,native culture and thinking mode.
