With the rapid development of globalization and diversification,publicity translation is becoming more and more important,and the English website of governments in China emerges.As a channel to show the city's economic,cultural and social achievements,the C-E news translation and the construction of Tangshan ˇ International play a significant role in promoting Tangshan's economic and cultural exchanges and also establishing the image of city.This report is based on the author's translation practice for Tangshan.International.Through the classification of news content in politics,economy,social life and also science and technology as well as the features analysis about Chinese and English news,the author briefly introduces related translation strategies and methods.The author also analyzes the three key points of the practice from the perspective of publicity translation,website trans-editing and local culture-loaded words.News is the objective conveying of facts,which demands the language should be specific,accurate,brief,vulgar and vivid.(Xu Mingwu,2003:21)Therefore,news translators should be strict with translation work,and apply the method trans-editing into news translation with the consideration of news structure and cultural factors. |
