The Research About Pragmatic Phenomena Of Ba-sentence In Media Conversation

As a syntactical structure,Ba(?)-sentence is special and complicated in Chinese.Especially influenced by subjective and objective factors in natural spoken language,it shows more special phenomena about grammar and pragmatics.Our main research object is based on the Ba-sentence in the Media Language Corpus.According to the classification and comparative study on the corpus,we summarize and analyze the particularities of Ba-sentence in the use procedure.This paper is divided into the following chapters.In the introduction,we mainly explain the research object of this paper and summarize the previous research results.Also we expound the significance of the research,the source of the corpus and the research methods of this paper.In the first chapter,we analyze the pragmatic phenomena associated with the adverbial and discuss the position of the auxiliary verb which serves as adverbial in Ba-sentence.From the point of view of semantic orientation,we explain the reasons for the differences in the position of the auxiliary verbs.In addition,we analyze the adverbial repetition in Ba-sentence of spoken English.Based on the reasons from phonetics,semantics,grammar to pragmatics,we come to a conclusion that adverbial repetition focuses on two categories of auxiliary verb and adverb.In the second chapter,we analyze the phenomena related to the gap of syntactic component about object,predicate and complement.First,We think that the object of Ba-sentence won`t be elided in specific context in media conversation,unless being influenced by the flow of speech.Second,the gap of predicate have no influence on semantic in context,and the sign language can be a kind of supplement for the gap of predicate.Otherwise,the gap of the core verb in predicate may be caused by the flow of speech or speaking context.In the third chapter,we analyze the structure divergence of Ba-sentence in spoken language,mainly including the copy structure of Ba-sentence and the pattern of Ba-sentence about using one “Ba”prepositional phrase and explaining the predicate of each part in turn.We think that pragmatic needs are the decisive factor of the evolution of these two types of Ba-sentence.In the fourth chapter,we discuss the pragmatic phenomena in the three aspects,includingmovement,repair and the evolution of the function of "Ba".First,we think that the phrase of "Ba" in spoken language can be placed at the beginning of the sentence or at the end of the sentence according to the adjustment of semantic focus.Second,the repair of Ba-sentence in oral repair are both repairing syntactic component and abandonment of Ba-sentence.Last,the nonstandard use of the predicate verb results in the evolution of the function of the "Ba" in Ba-sentence,which makes the meaning of introducing the non disposal object in Ba-sentence.In the conclusion,from the study on the above grammatical phenomena,we come to the conclusion that the subjective and objective factors have an influence on the construction of Ba-sentence,the structure of sentence,which shows more flexibility and complexity in use procedure and leads to that the syntactic and semantic features of Ba-sentence in media conversation are different from those in written language.
