Positive psychology focus on foster people's positive psychological quality.The theory of positive psychology has a wide and far-reaching impact on the mental health education in primary and secondary schools in China.Good peer relationship plays an important role in the development of personality and social ability of primary school students.It is helpful for pupils to establish a good interpersonal relationship early and promote their mental health.In order to understand the characteristics of positive psychological development of upper primary school students and the effect of intervention on friendly quality experiment.This paper has carried out three parts of empirical research on the study of students and their parents in Nanchang city,jiangxi province: the first part is using Meng Wanjin's "positive psychological quality of primary and secondary students" questionnaire survey conducted to 346 senior students of the certain elementary school,analyzes and concludes the present situation and characteristics of the positive psychological quality and friendly quality of the senior students.The second part is an open questionnaire survey and interviews with 350 parents of higher primary grade students,and the co-word visualization analysis software(GEPHI)is used to analyze the parents' expectation of the development of the friendly quality of primary school students.The third part of the group-design of experiment,the control group before and after the test for 26 fifth grade elementary student's friendly quality for eight weeks of group counseling intervention experiment,so as to explore the effect of improving the quality of primary school students.The findings are as follows:(1)The development of positive psychological quality of higher primary grade students is characterized by imbalance.The score of human dimension is obviously lower than that of brave and so on;and the score of friendly quality in human dimension is obviously lower than other 14 quality factors;(2)The higher primary grade students' friendly quality score in male and female founds no significant difference;(3)There were significant differences in the level of friendly quality of primary school students in grades 4,5 and 6,and the level of the fifth grade students was the lowest;(4)Parents have a higher level of expectation for higher primary grade students' friendly quality;(5)There was significant difference between the experimental group and the control group both in the sub-test score and total points of the friendly quality.The experiment results showed that the group counseling intervention technique had a significant effect on the improvement of the friendly quality of the upper primary school students.
