Research On The Cultural Activities Held By The Confucius Institute Of Catholic University Of Peru

The Confucius Institute of the Catholic University of Peru was formally established in March 2009.Since its establishment,the Confucius Institute of the Catholic University of Peru has devoted itself to the development of high-quality Mandarin teaching and colorful cultural activities to meet local people's demand of learning Mandarin and Chinese culture.This paper,take the cultural activities of the Confucius Institute of Catholic University of Peru as the object of investigation,conducts questionnaires and interviews to the students,local people,volunteer Chinese teachers to get the useful information.Based on the Lasswell's 5W communication theory,which includes the content,the form,the media,the participants and the effects these five aspects,this paper investigates the cultural activities of the Confucius Institute of Catholic University of Peru,and in the end draws a conclusion about the status of its cultural activities,and puts forward some corresponding recommendations.This paper involves four parts:The first chapter introduces the background of the thesis,such as the reason of choosing this topic,the purpose and significance,the outline,the object of investigation,the theory and the method.The second chapter analyzes the current situation of the Confucius Institute's cultural activities promotion,including the time,place,content,form and effect of the cultural activities.Besides,taking the Spring Festival Gala of 2016 as an example,this paper summarizes the experiences from three stages,and puts forward a new sample of the Spring Festival Gala.The third chapter summarizes the experiences of the cultural activities by analyzing the feedback of the students,nearby residents and Chinese teachers,and by doing this,this paper reveals a lot of problems in organizing the cultural activities.Such as the form of the activities,is mainly about the experiencing activities.The content,concentrates in the material culture,which leads to the lack ofdepth.Besides,the interaction of local culture with Chinese culture is insufficient;Also the way of propaganda,is mainly Facebook and poster;The teachers are all of high quality,but their talent about Chinese art is less skilled,and the teacher's group is not stable.The fourth chapter puts forward some feasible suggestions on cultural activities from four aspects:the organizer of cultural activities,the content and form of cultural activities,the time and place of cultural activities,the media of cultural activities.
