A Report On Interpreting For Cambodia Tourism Seminar Of 2016 China-ASEAN Expo Tourism Exhibition

Tourism is one of the eleven big key areas of cooperation between China and ASEAN.In view of the China-ASEAN promising cooperation prospects,Guilin is speeding up the construction of international tourism resort.This tourism exhibition continued to maintain national and international high standards for the theme of "to build the 21th Century maritime Silk Road,to build China-ASEAN tourism community" On October 20th,2016,Cambodia hosted the Cambodia tourism promotion as the guest country,the author work as an interpreter of this seminar.The main aim of this seminar is to introduce the tourism resources of Cambodia to the participants in order to attract investments and promote the development of tourism.This report is based on the author's experience as the interpreter of 2016 Cambodia Tourism Promotion Seminar.It describes task process in detail,analyzes the problems existing in this interpreting practice and makes self-evaluation and introspection.This report mainly analyzes and concluded the background and contents of this meeting,the preparation before interpreting,and some key points of site interpretation.The main part of this report is the case study of the problems such as the effort allocation of listening and analysis,memory and speech production,objective factors that influenced the interpretation task and some techniques that used in this interpreting practice.The self-evaluation part is about the evaluation of psychological quality,effort allocation,accents,speed and tone.Some reflections are also made in this interpreting practice in order to be useful for the author's later interpreting study.Through this report,the author hopes to bring some inspirations to the future interpretation practice so as to improve the tourism interpretation quality,to accumulate experience in interpreting practice,to improve comprehensive quality and to become a qualified interpreter.
