A Project Report On The Simultaneous Interpreting For The Promotion Conference And Project Signing Ceremony Of Pingxiang Key Development And Opening-up Pilot Zone Of The City Of Chongzuo During The 13th CAEXPO

The Promotion Conference and Project Signing Ceremony of Pingxiang Key Development and Opening-up Pilot Zone of the City of Chongzuo was convened in Nanning on September,12th,2016 which was held during the 13th CAEXPO with the theme of "The Belt&Road· Development and Opening-up· Win-Win Results".The objective of the Promotion Conference and Project Signing Ceremony is to attract foreign investors to invest in Pingxiang Key Development and Opening-up Pilot Zone of the City of Chongzuo as well as to provide comprehensive information about investment environment.The author is much blessed to shoulder part of the simultaneous interpreting task for the Promotion Conference and Project Signing Ceremony.The Promotion Conference and Project Signing Ceremony witnessed the signing of 42 projects,attracting 25.87 billion yuan in investment.It is a productive one.This practice provides the author with sufficient research corpus.The author analyzes the simultaneous interpreting practice by texts and records.This paper constitutes a practice report mainly on Chinese to English simultaneous interpreting.The report centers on five aspects including task description,pre-interpreting preparation,case study&coping strategies,post-interpreting summary and conclusion.In the task description,the report introduces the task background such as time,venue and the theme.Pre-interpreting preparation points out the significance through analyzing the long-term,short-term and on-the-spot preparation.In the case studies,the report combines cases in the simultaneous interpreting practice to analyze commonly utilized tactics and other influencing factors in simultaneous interpreting.The chapter of post-interpretation summary combines self-evaluation and feedback from the client to evaluate the author's interpreting quality.In conclusion,the report summarizes the interpreting experience in the hope of providing enlightenment and inspiration for interpreting practitioners.
