With the continuous improvement of China's opening to the outside world,the status of Chinese language has been rising along with the improvement of China's international status. The popularity of Chinese in the world is rising, and the number of Chinese learners is increasing. The research on the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has been rising rapidly in recent decades,and the study of teaching material — as an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language—Has always been the focus of researchers.Therefore, this paper will analyze the comparative study on the teaching material of teaching Chinese as a foreign language "Mastering Chinese",analyzes "Mastering Chinese" and put forward some suggestions, hoping to help improve the quality of teaching materials.This paper is mainly divided into the following parts: the first chapter is the introduction , expounds the research background and significance, summarizes the current status of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and its research,and points out the purpose and methods of this study. The second chapter is a brief introduction to the content and features of "Mastering Chinese". The third chapter is to analyze and evaluate "Mastering Chinese" and find out the existing problems. The fourth chapter puts forward some suggestions on compiling teaching materials. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.
