For the past few years, China and Russia have become closer in political,economic, cultural and other areas of communication. In terms of cultural exchange, the educational cooperation between two countries has achieved some results. In present,studying Oriental languages become more and more popular in Russia. In order to adapt educational achievements to the requirements of modern economy and culture, Russian universities have set up Chinese classes, and the Kalmyk State University is not an exception. Since 2002, Department of foreign languages, intercultural communication and oriental studies of Kalmyk State University began teaching Chinese.This work analyzes he current situation of teaching primary students Chinese in Kalmyk State University by the questionnaire survey, in this work you can find out that Chinese courses for primary student in KSU have some problems in aspects of vocabulary,grammar, spoken language and hearing, and teaching methods are not perfect either, the teaching methods are not complete too. The reasons for these problems can be summed up as follows: as the Russian students met more difficulties in studying Chinese, their enthusiasm is easy to be hit; primary students do not understand Chinese culture; the course curriculum is unreasonable and inefficient; some teachers lack of teaching experience; the number of mother tongue teachers is small; less use of the multimedia means in the teaching process; lack of student enthusiasm; problems in phonetic teaching, etc.In order to solve the above problems, we need to consider how to improve the level and efficiency of the teaching Chinese comprehensive course for primary students according to a case analysis of the KSU, also we need to try to increase an enthusiasm of students in studying Chinese to put them in a good state of affairs for studying Chinese and to help them develop good habits. In teaching we need to encourage teachers to use more efficient multimedia teaching equipment, to improve teaching efficiency and students' interest in learning, let some teachers go to China's university every year, so that teachers can improve the level of learning while learning to update the teaching methods, enhance the teaching level; in study life we need to increase the students' communicative content and time in class and after school such as more community activities,cultural week,speech contest and so on, so that students can really appreciate Chinese learning fun and charm, at the same time they can increase the interest of learning and Chinese level.
