Interpretation Practice Report On Asian Gymnaestrada Summit

From Ping-pong Diplomacy to Chinese athletes' achievements in the world,the development of Chinese sports industry is obvious to all.Besides intense competitions,international and professional sports conferences are being held in China in succession.There is no doubt that interpretation occupies a significant position in the procedure,which is the bridge of communication and the bond of understanding.The interpreters' language skills and interpreting strategies both play important roles.As the first systematic interpretation theory in the world,Interpretive Theory comes from thousands of interpreters' practice and is extensively applied to guide the training and practicing of interpretation.From the perspective of Interpretive Theory,the author studied and analyzed her own interpretation of 5th Asian Gymnaestrada summit.This summit lasted four hours and referred to the domestic and international development of Gymnastics for All.The author uses the speeches from four speakers in this report.The report consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the task description including the background,characteristics.The second chapter is per-interpreting period.The author has prepared in these following aspects: information of the speaker,the topic of speeches,the vocabulary and the theoretical framework.In the third chapter,the author applies the theory to the practice and concludes four interpretation strategies.The last chapter is the conclusion of the report.The author reviews the report,points out the shortcomings and concludes the interpreting strategies in order to better conduct the further practice.
