In order to deeply explore what affects the subjective well-being,great importance has been attached to the research which aims to talk about how negative life events and trust have an influence on subjective well-being.Empirical analysis have been given to prove the existence of mediating effect of trust on the relationship between negative life events and subjective well-being.The main contents of this study include two aspects:Firstly, through analysis of literature and our country's practical conditions, the trust is divided into two parts, namely, interpersonal trust and system trust.By this classification,a comprehensive trust scale has been initially created to measure the level of citizen trust.Secondly, measure tools such as self-designed Comprehensive Trust Scale,Life Events Scale and The Satisfaction With Life Scale have been taken to measure 394 adult residents from 9 cities including Guangzhou,Shenzhen,Dongguan and Foshan in Guangdong Province.Structural equation model(SEM)system is adopted in the paper to analysis the relationship between people's stressful life events and trust level and subjective well-being.The main conclusions of the research are as follows:1.The result of exploratory factors analysis showed that two dimensions were the most appropriate for the data and they could be named as interpersonal trust and system trust.Through confirmatory factor analysis,we can verify the correctness of trust classification in this study and the well-fitting of two factors model of trust in this study. The comprehensive trust scale developed in this study has good reliability and validity.2.Negative life events are negatively correlated with interpersonal trust and subjective well-being.Interpersonal trust and system trust are positively correlated with subjective well-being.Negative life events are not correlated with system trust. Both negative life events and trust can prominently predict the level of subjective well-being.3.Interpersonal trust factor take a mediating effect when negative life events have an effect on subjective well-being and the structural equation model fit well for the data.
