Objective: Check the test of depression patients with suicidal ideation and the relevant factors, based on a control study to evaluate cognitive psychological intervention to improve depression patients with suicidal ideation, suicide attitude, impulsive personality and problem solving role. Method: The First Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Mental Health Division in March to September of 2010, with inpatient and outpatient diagnosis of depression patients in this study.1. Baseline Survey: To collect data of the 225 enrolled patients with depression with A self-assessment and peer assessment methods. Peer assessment method by the system evaluation wih the First Affiliated Hospital of Shanxi Medical University, Division of Mental Health,with two Psychological Assessment staff to evaluate Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (SSI). Self-assessment test in the psychological evaluation by the self-test room for independence accordance with the guidance of their own language to complete, including Demographic Information and Suicide Attitude Scale (QSA), Impulsivity Personality Inventory (BSI-11), Problem-solving Scale (PSI).2. The Intervention Study: Based on the depression patients who seek treatment in March to June of 2010 as the control group of 128 people, in addition to conventional treatment, are not involved in the project's system of psychological intervention (divided into the suicidal ideation control group and the control group without suicidal ideation); in July to September of 2010 with 97 depression patients who seeking treatment for psychological intervention group (divided into suicidal ideation intervention group and the intervention group without suicidal ideation). The intervention group counseling cognitive system, every 40-50 minutes, a total of six to eight times, after intervention by "Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation"and the measurement of each factor repeated measures questionnaire. Controled group did not participate in this system cognitive psychology counseling, the pre-test two months later,post-test the suicide ideation and related factors. Statistical analysis was performed on all results.Results:1. The Baseline Survey, in line with the conditions into the group of 225 people, 101 persons with suicidal ideation and 124 persons without suicidal ideation. Those who with or without suicidal ideation,in the total suicide attitudes score and three latitudes of suicide attitudes were significantly different (P <0.001); in the total personality scores and the three latitudes of impulsivity personality were significantly different (P <0.001); the three latitudes of problem solving also have significant differences (P <0.001). 2.The Intervention On Suicidal Ideation:After psychological intervention, the intervention group among 56 cases of suicidal ideation in depressed patients,50 cases of elimination of suicidal ideation. In the intensity of suicidal ideation and the risk of suicidal ideation,Intervention and control groups had significant differences (P <0.05).3. The Impact Of Intervention On Suicide Attitude: Before and after psychological intervention, the intervention group without suicidal ideation only in the attitude of suicide person was no significant difference (P> 0.05), the suicidal attitude total score and the remaining three latitudes are significant difference (P <0.05); Suicidal attitude total score and the four latitudes of the intervention group with suicidal ideation were significantly different (P <0.05).4. The Impact Of Intervention On Impulsive Personality: Before and after psychological intervention, the intervention group without suicidal ideation only in the impulsive personality total score and cognitive impulsivity latitude are significant differences (P <0.05), the unplanned impulsive and action impulsive are no significant difference (P> 0.05); the intervention group with suicidal ideation are in unplanned impulsive latitude is significantly different (P <0.05), the impulsivity total scores and the other two latitudes are not significant difference (P> 0.05).5. The Impact Of Intervention On Problem Solving: Before and after psychological intervention,the intervention group without suicidal ideation in problem solving confidence latitude and close - avoidance style latitude scores are significantly different (P <0.05); The intervention group with suicidal ideation in problem solving confidence And close - avoidance style latitude scores are significantly different (P <0.05); Before and after psychological intervention, the intervention group in the latitudes of personal control, there are no significant differences (P> 0.05).Conclusion:1. With or without suicidal ideation has significant differences in suicidal attitude, impulsive personality and problem solving.2. Psychological intervention has a positive role for patients with depression to give up suicidal ideation.3. Psychological intervention has a significant effect for depression towards suicide attitudes.4. Psychological intervention for patients in depression with impulsive personality has no significant effect.5. Psychological intervention has a positive impact for patients in depression with confidence and problem-solving approach - avoidance style and on personal control hasno significant effect.
