With the development of China's economy and the increasing international exchanges,the demand for Chinese language learning in the world is growing rapidly.In order to meet the world demand for Chinese learning,and increase the influence of Chinese culture and China in the world,China has established Confucius institutions in 2004.Since the establishment of the Tbilisi Free University Confucius institutions in Georgia,the cause of Chinese teaching developed rapidly,the annual Confucius Institute Headquarters will send about 20 Chinese volunteers to Georgia who will engage in the promotion of Chinese language and cultural dissemination.The author,as a Chinese volunteer,has experienced the influence of the cultural differences on work and life.The author has made investigations on 27 Chinese volunteers in 2016.The results show that the overall adaptation is good,and the adaptability(life,work,communication)is in general,but there are also some problems.As for life,it is somewhat hard for Chinese teachers to adapt local diet problems,entertainment and consumption;as for work,they feel uncomfortable with Georgian teaching requirements,Georgia teaching resources,Georgian students;as for interpersonal relationships,communication with the Georgian people and understanding the culture and thoughts of the local people are prominent.In order to solve the problems of cross cultural,volunteers are adapted through interviews to understand the specific situation,and analyzes the reasons,finally,according to the volunteers' opinions and suggestions on how to improve the follow-up volunteers,the author puts forward suggestions to problems of cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese volunteers in Georgia.
