This report was a practice on interpreting an interactive salon.The task was just a part of an international conference that the auther attended in 2016 september named “The 3rd Qingdao International Technology Transfer Conference”.The conference consisted of several parts around the themes of technology transfer and innovation.And the content of this report was chosen the Chinese-English parts of interactive salon.In addition,the auther analyzed the features of impromptu speech in the report,including hesitation,repetition,logical mess and omission.And the auther also summarized the interpreting strategies and methods exemplified with the specific cases in the practice with the aim to provide practical guidance for the interpreters or for the people who are working in the interpreting field.This report was divided into five parts: task introduction,preparation for interpreting,interpreting process,cases analysis and conclusion.In the task introduction part,the author introduced the task briefly.The preparation for interpreting was divided into three segments:preparation of technology transfer knowledge,preparation of professional terms and the information collection of participating experts.In the next part,I introduced the whole interpreting process in details.In the last part,the author analyzed the problems and difficulties that the author encountered during the interactive salon or in some specific cases,including the features of spoken English,professional knowledge comprehension and interpretation of the Chinese idioms,poetry and abbreviation.And the last part was the conclusion of the question based on the interpreting process and cases analysis.
