The author have seen a hot spot in micro-blog,called the rank of the difficult language in the world,the first was Chinese.When face to the primary stage of foreign students,how those Chinese teachers teach the most difficult language in the world? It would have to mention to the "image method",it is one of the popular methods to teach foreign students,it can reduce the beginners dependence on the mother language,and it also can contribute to learners to understand the meaning intuitively,form the figurative memory.Secondly,the second language teaching is easy to be boring,if the textbook writers pay attention to improve the interest of textbooks,which can stimulate the enthusiasm of students and teachers,improve the teaching efficiency.With the development of the Chinese textbook,the writer of textbook also gradually realize that the illustration not only play a role of decoration,but also it is the organic part of the textbook,it can be said that illustration is a "language",on the one hand it can add interesting materials,on the other hand,it helps users to understand the text,to a certain extent,it will affect the teachers' teaching and students' learning.Domestic and foreign scholars have studied the function of illustrations,they found that teacher make rational use of illustrations it helps learners understand the whole text,meantime enhance the memory and so onIn this paper,the primary stage of Chinese textbooks "road to success" as the object to research,first of all,the author analyze the number,form,content and arrangement of illustrations,and the following conclusion is based on the data.Next,through the questionnaire,the author had known that the teachers and most of the students said illustration is necessary in the textbook,and in teaching or learning process they will use illustrations.Both in quantity and quality,the illustrations in the textbook can basically meet the needs of users,but it is worth mentioning that some teacher thought that fewer illustrations to explain vocabulary,they need to find a suitable picture.The comic is popular with its vivid,interesting features by students,and some students said "I hope more interesting illustrations","more illustrations help them understand".Finally,the author will accord the problems,refer to the views of user,puts forward some suggestions from two aspects.The author hope this study can close the relationship between illustration and teaching,help the teachers and students are aware of the importance of illustrations,make full use of illustrations to assist the second language teaching and learning.
