The report is an intention to study the subjectivity of interpreters in business activities and the method to improve interpreting quality.New product release conference is more formal than normal activities,and interpreters should not only interpret what they hear but also contribute to the promotion of new products.The past researches mainly focus on ordinary escort interpreting,while nowadays new product release conferences are consequently held and more and more foreign businessmen are gathered in these conferences,so the author tried to explore the manifestation of interpreters and conclude useful tactics to ensure the success of activities based in her experience.Based on the author's practice in Roco New Product Release conference,the report introduced the activity including the brief introduction of Roco,participants,preparations and evaluations.Then,the report analyzed the subjectivity and tactics such as omission,addition,modification and corresponding effects.The author also attempted to explore tactics beyond language.In the end,the author generally analyzed the ideas of interpreters when they use those tactics and raised some suggestions. |
