Reality And Realism: Spring And Autumn Of Literature And Art And The Renaissance Translation Research

In recent years,most researches on Spring and Autumn of Literature and the Renaissance focused on journal itself,literary works and literary thoughts.However,there is less discussions about literary translations of these two periodical with less quantities than that of literary translation periodical at that times.But the realistic literary thoughts embodied in their literary translations can not be ignored.There is not too much quantities of literary translations in these two periodical.Spring and Autumn of Literature with more quantity but the Renaissance is with special part.All these literary translation works show the tendency of realism literature,at the same time,mainly from Russia,United States,Britain and France.The contents of these literary translation works are mainly about anti-fascist war and people's work and life in the Soviet Socialist Construction,with shaping typical characters,or related to ridicule ugliness of social reality,or related to advocate humanism,and also related to study realism theory.Therefore,these literary translations obviously tend to be realistic literary.But it should consider this kind of literary trend from the aspects of history,reality,politics,culture,economy and editing strategies and translator's awareness and so on.These two periodicals were created in the middle period in 1940 s,where the class contradiction increasingly sharpened.Considering the realities of war becoming much more fiercely,political corruption and hard life,these two periodicals published numerous realistic translations to alert the ruler and reveal the true reality.Of course,literary world in 1940 s is based on realistic literary thoughts,which directly affects choices of these two periodicals.With publication purposes of the Renaissance,publishing policy of fully inclusive and equitable,editor strategies of " diversification",editor's literary thought s of realism and large group of translators' aesthetic tastes,it urged these two periodicals publishing realistic literary translations and providing readers with high-quality literary translations.It is just because of these factors,the literary translations in these two periodicals is not only have sort of realism,but alsocontains modernism,symbolism and other meanings which not broken away from the theme of "reality" but combined with it,promoting the development of literature.Because of particularity of this period in the middle and late 1940 s,its literary form had been presented with a "complex" face to readers,with the importance of related researches quite obvious.Literary translations in Spring and Autumn of Literature and the Renaissance are just part of the literary translation works in that period,but their translations made the reader understanding in details about the literary trends.At the same time,they showed realistic features of this period,enriched realism and inherited new literatures of "May 4th Movement",and started New China's socialist literatures,having great significance in literary history.
