Under the circumstances of economic globalization,E-C translation of online business news has become increasingly significant.Successfully translated online business news can help target language readers better understand the current economic policy and situation, and therefore make wiser investment choices and decisions. As one of the essential component of news, the importance of news headline should not be overlooked.Under the guidance of Paratextual Elements Theory, based on the author's 50 business news translation on the business channel of Huanqiu Website, this study focuses on the specific trans-editing tactics of online business news headline and the analysis of paratextual elements that influence the selection of trans-editing tactics.Based on the author's own translation practice, this study first proposes three trans-editing tactics on the lexical, syntactic and rhetoric level,i.e.addition,deletion,and substitution. For better explanation and understanding, each tactic comes with one or more examples from the business channel of Huanqiu Website.Guided by the theory of Paratextual Elements, first put forward by French theorist Gérard Genette, this study then summarizes four major paratextual elements, namely, difference in the mode of writing, online media characteristics, requirements from Huanqiu Website as a patronage, and the readers' horizon of expectations. This study is based on the author's own translation practice. The trans-editing tactics proposed by this study will hopefully provide practical guidance for online business news headline trans-editing and further improve the overall translation quality of online business news.
