A Practice Report On The Translation Of Patent Specification

The report materials were finished in last year and JSLG provided the material Source RF Power Spilt Inner Coil to Improve BCD and Etch Depth Performance and Secure Mode State Data Access Tracking.It is difficult for the author to translate because of its specialty.The author has a specific understanding of these kind of texts and learns a lot through a series of preparations.This report mainly consists of five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction to task source and task contents and requirements.The following chapter is a whole description of the process about this task,from receiving the task to finishing the translation.Then the third chapter of this report is detailed preparations for this task.Preparations for this report consist three parts,which are pre-editing,vocabulary preparation and finding the linguistic feature of source text.The fourth chapter is main body of this report.The author shares some translation skills which are used in the translation,and explains the specific translation methods with some examples in the aspects of translation of terms,nominalized phrase,passive sentences and complex sentences.The last part,the author concludes valuable experience gained from this practice and lessons for being a qualified translator.
