This thesis researches the E-C translation of English financial news,analyzing Fortune Magazine as its project.Economics are existing everywhere in modern society,and financial news are filled with every aspect of economy.Analyzing translation methods of financial news is vital to economic development both in China and the world.So,the author writes this practice report,for making a contribution for translation field.This thesis includes five aspects: task description,process description,pre-translation preparation,case analysis,and conclusion.It has comprehensively analyzed different kinds of problems in the whole process of financial news translation,for sharing with other translators.Functional equivalence theory of Nida is the main theory guidance in whole process of translation.In this thesis,pre-translation preparation and case analysis are essential parts.The author has introduced all aspects of financial news in detail,from financial news itself to its similar magazines,from words to sentences,and every item has corresponding case studies.The author uses different translation theories and methods,especially the functional equivalence theory,for delivering the similar or even the same feelings for target language readers.There are big differences between English and Chinese financial news express.One of the authors' responsibilities is to transfer the equivalent meaning between two languages.After writing translation report,the author has not only realized many key points about translation,but also gained some professional knowledge of financial news and economic aspects.The author hopes to make some efforts on translation field.And more importantly,it could make a contribution to the delivery of financial news.The Chinese economy can't develop by itself alone,or the world economy vice versa.So,translating financial news perfectly is necessary for both China and the whole world development.
