When individuals encounter psychological confusions, the process of initiativing to seeking outside psychological help to solve the psychological problems was called psychological help-seeking.Based on the different objects of help-seeking,it would be divided into professional psychological help-seeking(counselors,therapists,etc.)and non-professional psychological help-seeking(teachers,parents,friends,etc.).The secondary stage was of great significance to the development of human life.Whether it could successfully pass the stage of secondary school would affect the individual's future development. However, there were imbalances in the development of physiology and psychology among the students in secondary school, that is,the rapid development of physiology and the relatively slow development of psychology brought them many troubles and uneasiness.Help-seeking can help secondary students to solve their own problems, reduce the level of psychological distress and promote physical and mental health development.Previous studies showed that there was a correlation among social support, distress exposure and psychological help-seeing attitude. However, there was no research that focused on the relationship among the school connectedness which included the three dimensions of teacher support, peer support and school belonging, distress disclosure and psychological help-seeking attitude,in the school environment.Psychologica l help-seeking has been developed for more than 40 years in foreign countries.Local research in China is still in its infancy, and a small amount of existing researches con cern on undergraduates, with little attention paid to secondary school students. This study conducted a survey of 400 students in a middle school in Handan of Hebei province with several professional scales, including the School Connectedness Scale,DDI,Professional Psychological Help-Seeking Attitude Scale and Non-Professional Psychological Help-Seeking Attitude Scale. The study analysed the relationship among students' school connectedness, distress disclosures and psychological help-seeking attitudes,as well as the mediating role of distress disclosures between school connectedness and psychological help-seeking attitudes. This study aimed to provide theoretical guidance to mental health education workers in schools and expand their knowledge so as to promote the effective development of mental health education.By investigating the characteristics of junior high school students' school connectedness, distress disclosures and psychological help-seeking attitude, and studying the relationship among the three, the following conclusions were drawn:First, the level of junior high school students' school connectedness was higher than that of middle level,in which students' supportive dimension score was significantly higher than that of teachers' support and school belonging.Considering the gender difference, girls showed a significantly higher sense of belonging to school than boys. Moreover, the level of school juniors of the first grade students was significantly higher than that of the second grade and the third grade. The concrete performance was that the first grade students supported teachers significantly higher than the second and third grade students, while the first grade students had a higher sense of belonging than the third grade students. This study also focused on the school connectedness among students with different levels of psychological distress and psychological help-seeking behaviors, and found that students with low psychological distress(medium and below)had significantly higher levels of school connectedness than those with high psy chological distress(severe and above).Compared with students who choosed to solve or endure problems on their own, students who asked for help from their teachers and classmates when they encountered problems showed higher levels of school connected ness.Second,in general, junior high school students showed slightly more pain than moderate levels.Students with low levels of psychological distress showed significantly higher levels of painful presentation than those with high levels of psychological distress.Compared with the students who have their own problems solved or endured, students who seek help from their teachers and classmates when they encountered problems showed a higher degree of distress disclosure.Thirdly, junior high school students' professional attitude toward psychological distress was medium level.Among them, the three dimensions of trust, need and opennes s were significantly higher than the shame dimensions. In terms of gender, the attitude of professional psychological help-seeking for junior high school girls was more posit ive than that of boys.In addition, the third-year professional psychology help-seeking attitude was significantly higher than the first day, showing a more positive attitude for help.In terms of psychological distress, students with low psychological distress had significantly higher levels of professional psychological help-seeking attitude than those with high psychological distress, showing a more positive attitude toward seeking he lp.With respect to psychological help-seeking behavior, when encountering a problem, students who seek help from teachers and classmates showed a significantly higher level of professional psychological help-seeking attitude than those students who solved or endured problems alone, showing a more positive attitude of seeking help.Fourth, psychological attitude of junior high school students for non-professional was slightly higher than the average level. In terms of gender, the score of instrument al help-seeking of junior high school girls was significantly higher than that of boys.Furthermore, the scores of the negative accessibility cognition dimension of the first grade students were significantly higher than the third grade. In the degree of psycholo gical distress, students with low psychological distress showed a significantly higher degree of non-professional psychological help attitude than those with high psychological distress, showing a more positive attitude toward seeking help.In regard to the psyc hological help-seeking behavior, when encountering a problem, the students who seeked help from their teachers and classmates showed a significantly higher attitude of see king help from their non-professional psychology than the students they solved or endured problems alone, showing a more positive attitude of seeking help.Fifth, the attitude of psychological help-seeking for junior high school students was positively related to the school connectedness and the distress disclosure. The schoo l connectedness and the distress disclosure could positively predict the psychological help-seeking attitude.Sixth, the junior high school students showed some distress intermediation between school connectedness and psychological help-seeking attitude.Among them, the distress disclosure revealed in the class support between students and professional psychology showed some intermediary
