With the development of human society,human demand for more kinds of energies.The exploitation of rich Marine resources becomes an important strategic move around the world.The diving technology has a corresponding development with it.A Diving Manual provides a code of conduct and standard of behavior for diving operation.Diving Manual belongs to the English texts of science and technology,which is mainly for guiding the science and digital diving work,and its language is objective,rigorous and strongly professional.In this paper,in the view of theory of "dynamic equivalence" and the opinion of Eugene Nida that Translation consists in producing in the receptor language the closest natural equivalent to the meassage of the source language,some translation methods are discussed on words and sentence aspects combined with the translation practices of the U.S.NAVY DIVING MANUAL(3-5-3.7).This paper sums up the English word in the word polysemy and the synonymy of the translation method,according to the Western acceptance of aesthetics “reader response theory”,free translation can make the translation more close to the expression of the Chinese vocabulary.Secondly,in most cases,the translation of the sentence can improve the quality of the translation by adjusting the structure of the sentence.The discourse translation can be based on the contextual relevance of the article and parataxis of Chinese,some "subtext" and "related words" can be added in the text to enhance the reader's reading experience.Finally,through the repetition of vocabulary,sentences and discourse,the translation words will have a overall consideration,then the target language must be improved.Ultimately,this paper can make some contribution to the development of diving technology in our country.
