In the class of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,there has been controversy regarding the use of the intermediate language.Taking the Chinese students of the International College of a university and the Korean students and teachers of International College of Suwon University as the research object,this paper investigated and analyzed the use of intermediate language by teachers and the feedback of students through the way of conducting questionnaires and interviews.This paper also discussed the timing and methods of the intermediate language used in the Korean-Chinese general comprehensive class classroom,as well as the students' requirements and views on the use of the intermediate language by the teachers,so as to discover the meaning of using the intermediate language and provide valuable teaching suggestions on this matter.The paper is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction,which explains the reasons of selecting this topic,defines the concept of the intermediate language,summarizes the research history and status quo of intermediate language in the class of teaching language for foreigners both in China and abroad.The purpose,content and method of this article are introduced.The second part outlines the theory and acquisition theory of second language teaching related to this study as the theoretical basis.In the third part,we explore the status quo of teachers' use of the intermediate language in Korean primary comprehensive classrooms and students' attitudes and feelings towards the use of intermediate language s through analyzing 134 valid questionnaires of both Chinese students and Korean student and teachers.The fourth part is about the analysis of the questionnaires and interviews conducted by the teachers in these two universities.20 teachers participated in the survey and 6 teachers were selected to conduct further interviews.The effect and the perception of their intermediate language were found through the further interviews.In the fifth part,the significance of using intermediate language in the Korean primary classroom is discussed,some recommendations and a practical strategy are proposed according o the investigation results.The research in this paper shows that both students and teachers are generally satisfied with the use of intermediate language in teaching.This also shows the necessity and importance of intermediate language in the Korean primary comprehensive course.In the initial stage of the teaching process,the use of the intermediate language can improve the students' enthusiasm for learning,strengthen the learning effect,allow students to accept more understandable input,reduce emotional filtering,and contribute to the learning of Chinese as a foreign language.However,we also need to pay attention to some using principles in the process of use.In this paper,the corresponding teaching suggestions are summarized.For example,the use of intermediate language should be used in appropriate ways and in proper frequentcy.It should be understandable and acceptable by students.Also,it should be accurately expressed and flexibly adjusted in light of different situation.
