As the initial film form,documentary films not only have great literature and artistic values but are essential for enriching film types.Under the background of Chinese documentaries' industrialization,Chinese televised newsreels have made continuous progresses and shown a good momentum of development.Compared with the TV documentaries,the current development situation of the Chinese documentary films is not optimistic.It is not only hard to see documentary films in cinema market,but on TV,Internet and other platforms.Therefore,in this context,it is necessary to study on the marketization problems of Chinese documentaryfilms.Taking the marketization of Chinese documentary films as the research object,this paper uses the methods of literature analysis,case analysis and questionnaire.This paper tries to find out the main plight and deep causes of Chinese documentary films' marketization,and further to explore some feasible development tactics.Chinese documentary films which born in the special historical period have played an important role in spreading political ideas of the party and the state for a long time,and even became the dominance type of Chinese films.However,with the establishment and development of China's socialism market economy system,the downfall of Chinese documentary films has a profound historical inevitability because the dull,stiff art style is unable to meet multiple market needs after long isolation from the market.But themarketization can bring huge living space and development opportunities for Chinese documentary films,and is the only way for its survival and development.There are two main reasons for the difficult situation of Chinese documentary films in the market: its own and the market.On the one hand,the two contradictions of entertainment and documentary,the lack of creators' market consciousness and the weakness of marketing links make the creators fail to grasp the audience's preferences and produce products needed by the market;On the other hand,serious homogenization of the domestic film market has greatly squeezed the living space of documentary films.Therefore,the marketization of China's documentary films must proceed from two aspects of its own and external environment.On the one hand,Chinese documentary filmsshould change the small workshop style of creation pattern,take the internationalization and standardization of production process to promote the story and entertainment of documentary films,and combined with the aesthetic characteristics of the documentary filmto explore the differentiated marketing methods.On the other hand,Chinese documentary filmsshould try to rely on the government's financial,policy and other aspects of thepreferential supports to create a relatively healthy market environment and provide possibilities.for its entry into the cinema market.It is worth noting that marketization is the only way for the prosperity and development of Chinese documentary films,but marketization is only the way and means,not the ultimate goal.In the course of marketization,Chinese documentary films must adhere to the real features and enhance the artistic quality,take it as its own responsibility to enhance the public's aesthetic level,and seek the balance between art and commerce.
