The Translation Practice Report Of The Thirteenth Year Plan For National Economy And Social Development In Heilongjiang Province (Excerpt)

After the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan in 1972,Heilongjiang was one of the first cities to establish friendly relations with Japan,and it has an important position in China and Japan.The 13th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development is promulgated by the new leaders,the government of Heilongjiang Province read it and made a detailed plan on the basis of various aspects of Heilongjiang Province,formulated the outline for the 13th Five-Year for National Economic and Social Development of Heilongjiang Province(hereinafterreferred to as the Outline).This Outline not only reviewed the great achievements which Heilongjiang Province made in the past,but also forecast the development of Heilongjiang Province in the next five years,and made up the detailed planning.Meanwhile,translation plays a prominent role in the world where political and economical globalization are gaining momentum,so the translation of the Outline can help other countries get a better understanding of China,of Heilongjiang Province,and promote the international exchanges.Because of there are few translated versions of Japanese version in the past few years of the Outline,so the author has selected the first three chapters from the Outline as the translation text,and by putting into practice translation skills and methods as well as theories in the author's grasp,and referring to the translation of the current text of the official standard,the author tried to carry out the translation practice that translated Chinese into Japanese.By consulting and accumulating similar terms used in parallel texts,the author has found out the underlying rules in translation and put them into use through learning the style and language used in the translation of political news.This paper is focused on the actual cases from the vocabulary grammar and discourse in three aspects,expounded the translation methods in the translation process,using language styles etc.The author had a deeper understanding of the language features and translation skills of these articles,in hope to make contributes to the future translation practice,to enhance exchanges between Chain and Japan,and to help Japanese get a better knowledge of Heilongjiang Province.This report is divided into five parts.The first part is centered on the background introduction as to why the text is selected and the significance of it;the second part recapitulates on the contents of the selected text,and analyzes the nature and characteristics of it;the third part provides details on the preparation,translation and proofreading of the text;the core of this paper is the fourth part which,through referring to specific examples,analyzes the vocabulary and sentences used in the text,and elaborates on the translation methods utilized in every part,and discovers some rules of the translation of political news;the last part recaps on the gains and shortcomings of this translation practice.
