Nowadays, with the further development of reform and opening-up,tourism is thriving quickly.Tourism translation,as a trans-lingual and cross-cultural activity, has become more and more essential in this process.Meanwhile, red tourism with Chinese characteristics and red revolutionary spirit exerts a vital influence on cultural transmission and modern tourism economy.Xi'an,an ancient city,is the cradle of the Chinese civilization, and its ancient architecture and scenic spots attract lots of tourists. However, there are various problems in C-E(Chinese-English)translation of the texts of red tourism in Xi'an,which exert a negative influence on tourists' understanding of Chinese red revolutionary culture. To promote the tourism industry and disseminate red culture in Xi'an,it's of great significance to improve the translation of texts of red tourism. In 2001,Eco-Translatology theory was first put forward by the professor Hu Gengshen.Instead of emphasizing translation process unilaterally,Eco-Translatology regards translation as a translators' adaptive selection and selective adaption according to translational eco-environment.Meanwhile,the theory advocates the multi-dimensional conversion during translation process, which is mainly reflected in the conversion of language, culture and communication dimensions. This requires that the C-E translation should not only conform to the needs of readers, but also reproduce the styles of the target language in line with the source language.Taking the C-E translation of texts of red tourism in Xi'an as an example, the paper studies the existing problems of the texts of red tourism translation in Xi'an from the perspective of three dimensional theory. Then, the translation strategies and methods of this kind of text are proposed.
