| Nowadays,with the development of the sports,football lovers are attaching importance on football training.Football industry is becoming more and more important in our country.Thus,advanced football concepts are widespread.In order to correspond to our country's need,Mianyang government has given support to football training and especially invited UEFA experts to impart training methods to football coaches from Mianyang and to teach football skills to youth football players.The author was entrusted by the school with an interpretation project of 2016 Mianyang Workshop for Football Coaches in July.It was jointly hosted by Celtic Football Club Academy,the “Three Balls(basketball,volleyball,football)” Sports Management Center and Mianyang Football Association.The author was pleased to be the interpreter for two Scotland instructors and all coaches.Two parts of service were provided,including indoor consecutive interpreting(CI)and interpreting on the field.As an interpreter for a former UEFA expert,the author also participated in the Football Youth Program hosted by Mianyang Xingda Football Club in December,2016.The type of this project was Escort interpreting.Football interpreting is characterized by specific purposes.In order to improve the accuracy of the target language(TL)and the ability to communicate with authentic football words,the author sorts out words from BBC sports news,football matches,youdao,football vocabulary dictionary and football interpreting related articles and puts them into use.Daniel Gile's Effort Model Theory has been used in this report,which is used for analyzing the listening,note-taking and memory problems during the interpretation process.The author tries to solve these problems by analyzing the characteristics of Scottish accent,reduce mental workload by using simple symbols,strengthen the understanding of related terms and overcome psychological noise so that the author can enhance the ability in balancing and distributing each part of the Effort Models. |
