A Study On Dongguan's Cultural And Creative Industry Policies

It's not hard to find cultural and creative industry in China is still at the stage of growing when reviewing its development vein in recent years.Depended on the support of national strategies and self advantages,some local governments have been daring to try and foretasting,seeking sustainable paths for cultural and creative industry in their own way.The distinguish development paths of cultural creativity,they summed up through continuous explorations and practices,have been providing helpful reference for other cities or provinces.Compared with Beijing,Shanghai and Guangzhou,there are rather gaps in level of literary and artistic creation and talent aggregation for Dongguan.But Dongguan still has comparatively ripe conditions and vast space to fuel cultural creativity,since it is located in the heartland of world-class city cluster on Pearl River Delta,influenced by Hong Kong,Shenzhen and Guangzhou.As a well-known city of manufacture,Dongguan has blazed a new trail in promoting cultural and creative industry due to its unique advantages in industry convergence of cultural creativity and manufacture.Based on theories of Public Management Science,this article uses the methods of document study?case study and field investigation to research Dongguan's cultural and creative industry policies.This article is constituted by five parts.The first part mainly sorts the theoretical studies at home and abroad,as well as government's role in promoting cultural and creative industry.The second part analyzes the status quo and existing problems of Dongguan's cultural creative industry.The third part studies the major cultural and creative industry policies and measures issued by Dongguan Municipal People's Government.The fourth part raises major problems faced by Dongguan's cultural creative industry policies.The last part puts forward some suggestions on improvement of Dongguan's cultural creative industry policies.Through the analyses and researches,this article agrees that cultural and creative industry in Dongguan possess broad prospects for development.Complete matching industries give unique advantage for the promotion of its industry.Dongguan should take this opportunity to enhance government's functions,improve relevant policies and promote integrated development of cultural and creative industry and manufacturing industry,so as to motivate other industries' transformation and upgrading.
