The study of 1200 rural middle school students in Guizhou province was carried out by using Academic Procrastination Scale,the Achievement Motivation Scale and the Time Management tendencies Scale.To understand the relationship between students ' achievement motivation,time management tendencies and academic procrastination.The results show that:(1)The achievement motivation,time management tendencies and academic procrastination of junior high school students have some differences in demography variables,and the specific performance is: There is no significant difference between male and female students on the gender;In the type of student,the score of achievement motivation and time management inclination of class cadre is higher academic procrastination scores were significantly lower than those of ordinary students;there was no significant difference in family rearing,and in grade,the score of time management tendencies showed a significant decline with the increase of grade,and the academic procrastination score showed a significant upward trend.(2)The higher the score of achievement motivation of junior high school students,the more the score of time management inclination will be,and the score of academic procrastination will decrease.(3)Achievement motivation,in addition to directly affecting academic procrastination,will reduce the level of academic procrastination by increasing the time management tendencies.
