A Study On E-C Translation Of Financial Text From The Perspective Of Functional Equivalence Theory

At present,the development and application of mobile Internet and big data are rapidly changing and subverting the traditional practices of the financial industry.Responding to this situation,Fintech credit combines information technology and traditional finance industry approaches.There has been an almost endless stream of studies of this phenomenon at an international level.This means that there is a need for closer attention to be paid to these international developments at a domestic level,and that translation studies of Fintech texts are therefore necessary.Currently,financial translation in China has a largely practical application,and the combination of theory with text is widely utilized,especially the analysis provided by functional equivalence theory.The FinTech Credit Report selected for this article accords with professional criteria in terms of its lexis,format and strict logic.Its sentences are of average length and are easy to follow and understand.However,a certain amount of contextual knowledge is also required for the task of translation.The first part of this article introduces the background of the subject and the text source,expounding the significance of the research on financial translation;the second part illustrates three stages of development of functional equivalence theory,and how to produce peer-to-peer effect;the third part introduces translation texts and analyzes individual words and sentences.Finally,the fourth part combines analysis of theory with translation method under the guidance of Nida's functional equivalence theory in the shape of words,sentences,and the text as a whole.
