This translation report is written on the translation of the introduction of newly released products in Architecture&Detail(Volume 2 of 2017).As an architectural text,the translation text mainly introduces internationally innovative works of outstanding schemes,buildings and landscape designs.Sentences with tight logic and compact structure appear frequently in this text even there are two or more postpositive attributives in one sentence,which has been the primary difficulty in the translator's translation practice.In the report,the translator makes a detailed analysis of such difficulties caused by the postpositive attributives with specific cases from two major perspectives,the translation of non-finite verbs as postpositive attributives and the translation of attributive clauses as postpositive attributives.With regard to the former one,the translator has pointed out that comprehending the modified components of non-finite verbs should be put at priority.Then one can translate them in the original sequence or in an adjusted sequence,even one can translate the non-finite verbs into independent sentences.While concerning the translation of attributive clauses,it is acclaimed that the translator can handle them in a relatively flexible way with conveying the correct information as the critical principle.Such skills can be adopted as translating them into independent sentences,into adverbial clauses or integrating them into the main clauses.The author hopes to provide some valuable ideas and solutions for the translation of postpositive attributives in architectural texts,offering some references for other translators who are engaged in the translation of such texts.
