This practice report is based on the simulated interpretation of an interview with Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos. The main contents of the interview cover recent Amazon activities and Jeff Bezos' views on artificial intelligence and the exploration of outer space.According to the characteristics of high degree of colloquialism and plenty of scattered sentences in interview programs, this practice report classifies and sums up several types of problems occurred during interpreting through the method of case analysis and gives feasible solutions. The first is logical problems caused by scattered information in colloquial language, unclear reference and repetitive discourses. The author adopts interpreting strategies of combination, splitting and addition for such problems. The second is fuzzy language, including abstract fuzzy expressions, and fuzzy adjuncts and prepositions.Based on different contexts and lexical features, two strategies are adopted in order to convey meanings: fuzzy expressions and accurate expressions. The third is difficulties caused by humor. For humor, supplement and paraphrasing strategies can be adopted to maximize the effect of humor on the audience. The practice report is of great significance.Interpreters can use the strategies mentioned to improve the quality and efficiency in consecutive interpretation when they encounter similar problems in interpreting interviews in the future.
