Contemporary China is at a crucial peri od for the com prehensive deepening of reform and opening up as well as a critical period for the transition to modernization of social go vernance. This period also highlights va rious new problem s and new contradictions in society. Communities, as the basic units of society and m icro epitomes, play a significant role in promoting the modernization of national governing systems and capacity as well as social ‘good governance' through community governance innovations. China's community governance, however, still has the problems of focusing on specific practi ces and single case s but overlooking the research and exploration of universality, re gularity in terms of both theory research and the practice of innovations. This paper sets out from four di mensions of the community governance system, community governance bodies, functions and se rvices. It takes th e theory of the complex system as the theoretical basis, and creatively puts forward the collaborative theory system of ‘quaternity' to pro mote China's urban community m ulti-autonomy. Under the guidance of the theory, the paper takes the comm unity governance of Bao'an District, Shenzhen as a research exam ple and innovatively proposes a m ode named as "1+N/3PS" which is the basic m ode and the target model of China's urba n community multi-autonomy with the featur es of universality, in struction, openness, dynamics, systematicness and cooperativity through the analysis of the current existing problems of China's grass-roots social go vernance. With Chinese characteristics of socialism, implementation of the m ode is under the leadership of Chinese Communist Party and is adaptable to the prim ary stage of so cialism. The paper also makes a comprehensive and pr ofound elaboration of the mode from the aspects of system features, construction principles, influence factors, functional orientation, and system synergy. Meanwhile, based on the complex system theory of entropy, the paper establishes the evaluation system and model for the feasibility of the performance of "1+N/3PS" Chinese urban community self-governance mode. This paper also takes typical community cases of Bao'an District as exam ple, and makes positive analysis of the feasibility of "1+N/3PS" urban community multi-autonomy mode thus creates space for further in-depth study. The paper makes efforts to bring forth new ideas in the following aspects: Firstly, research on Chinese urban comm unity self-governance mode based on the com plex system theory; Secondly, construction of "1+N/3PS" Chinese urban comm unity self-governance mode based on the com plex system theory; Thirdly, construction of. the evaluation system and model for the test of the feasibility of "1+N/3PS" mode based on the com plex system theory of entr opy; Fourthly, the em pirical analysis on the community self-governance practices of Bao'an district of Shenzhen city. The study can be further explored in so me aspects. From the perspective of theoretical research, sys tematic analysis of the inte rnal and external driving forces affecting the community m ultiple autonomy should be further exp lored by using scientific methods such as system dynamics model and structural equation m odel, to analyze and test the ef fectiveness of China's urban community m ultiple autonomy mode and its implementation paths. In addition, efforts need to be made to further test and refine the "1+N/3P S" urban community self-governance mode according to th e latest practices of Chinese urban comm unity governance, and by a more system atic and comprehensive comparative study on the ve rtical analysis of China's historical grass-roots social governance developm ent and the horizontal com parison of the community governance modes both at hom e and abroad. From the perspective of community governance practice, relatio nship between the governm ent and community autonomy forces is an ongoing process of exploration.
