Analysis On The Influence Factors Of Rural Elderly Poverty In Western China

Elderly poverty is a global phenomenon,what is the result of the comprehensive effect of the unbalanced development of regional political,economic and cultural,individual differences and the difference in the ecological and geographical conditions.It is not only about the economy,but also about politics.Elderly poverty mainly concentrated in the rural areas,the area of occurrence of elderly poverty in rural areas mainly in the western region.Western rural areas is the poorest natural environment in China,and poverty incidence is the highest.At the same time,our country experts and scholars on the study of the problem of rural poverty,theory is far behind the practice.Therefore,it is an effective way to alleviate the poverty of rural elderly in Western China,and to find out the factors that affect the rural elderly in the western region of China.In this paper,on the basis of relevant research on the elderly poverty at home and abroad,combing the basic theory of poverty in old age,starting from the meaning and definition of poverty in old age,from the National Social Science Fund Project "China west rural elderly poverty research" in the western rural areas on the condition of the elderly survey data statistical analysis and probity regression analysis.To whether poverty as the dependent variable,Taking 20 variables,it will likely to elderly poverty produce effects of factors such as age,nationality,education level,marital status and number of children,into full consideration of the range.Respectively,the establishment of the overall model,and children living model and not living with their children in a model,and screening out the influence factors of elderly poverty,draw a few conclusions:First,age,personal work income,government benefits,property income,guaranteeing and children living in these five variables were significantly three models,means that the economy has important implications for poverty in old age.Second,education level,health level,pension insurance and self-care is a characteristic factors not live with children of poverty in old age.Number of children,gender,and marital status is a characteristic factors of the elderly live with their children in poverty.Finally,according to the conclusions of this study,we put forward a mitigation of rural poverty in old age suggestions.
