Since ancient times, being an official is the goal of the distinguished men. Also, employing people according to their merits is historically an important principle of selection of officials. After the founding of new China, the Communist Party of China takes Marxism Leninism as the guiding ideology, it put forward that people's servants should serve the people wholeheartedly. However, after the reform and opening up, along with the continuous progress of the political and economic construction and reform, the thought that some officials fight against corruption has been lax, Neglect of administrative duties, corruption, dereliction of duty and other bad phenomenon is failure to prohibit repeatedly. This has caused serious harm to officials in the people's moral authority which has already been set up. How to reshape the moral authority of the officials in the people is an important guarantee to improve the ability of government governance, and to establish the credibility of the government.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part of the main topics of this paper, the relevant materials to make a summary of the classification. The first chapter mainly elaborates the present situation of the lack of the moral authority of the officials, and emphatically reviews the source of the official's moral authority from the historical perspective. The second chapter analyzes the main reasons of the lack of the moral authority of contemporary officials from three aspects of economy, politics and society. The third chapter in based on the first two parts, combining Marxism and Western officials governance development experience, to officials management standardization, normalization, model as the main ideas proposed some opinion in order to promote the reconstruction of moral official authority.
