Research On Governance Of Itinerant Traders In Urban Fringe Area

With the rapid urbanization process, as an international metropolis core city in South China, Guangzhou has achieved a more long-term development in their socio-economic and other fields, and the urban construction has gratifying results. However, when Guangzhou step forward to the direction of the international metropolis, it has been showing a lot of urban management issues, not only difficult to meet the growing needs of the masses of urban management, but also cannot fit with the rapid development of economic society. For example, road traffic gridlocked, not perfect municipal construction, endless illegal constructions, which not only plagued the city management personnel, but also compromised to the satisfaction of the Guangzhou masses. Among them, the itinerant traders chaotic pendulum chaos sell is considered to be the essential issue by the city managers and the masses, it not only easily leads to many social problems, and being strong recurrent, difficult to cure.This thesis focuses study on governance of itinerant traders in urban fringe area. Selected the typical characteristics of the urban fringe area Da Shi Street, Panyu District, through questionnaires and interviews, a comprehensive and thorough analysis has been made to the basic situation of Dashi Street itinerant traders, distribution characteristics, constitute reason, regional characteristics and external influences, combining the current governance model, to find out problems in the process of governance itinerant traders. Under the guidance of public organization theory, new public management theory and polycentric governance theory, absorbing the advanced experience of domestic and foreign cities, propose countermeasures and suggestions which is in line with the actual situation of the itinerant traders in fringe area, from institution-building, team management, governance innovation and social participation, for achieving the combination of dredging and plugging, and exploring the three-dimensional model of itinerant traders governance in fringe area. For those problems which have been exposed but difficult to solve due to historical reasons in fringe area of prevention center, this thesis tries to break the ice, hoping to arouse the attention from community for the itinerant traders governance issues, to contribute together to build a harmonious Guangzhou and a harmonious society.
