Research On The Participation Of Government Wechat In City Governace

The 21st century is the age of rapid development for science and information technology. "Internet+" has become a powerful force to subvert the entire social operation mode. As the main organizer of urban governance, government needs to solve the urgent problem of promoting the development of E-government by knowing how to use the latest information technology.With the development of the E-government and the popularity of Wechat in recent years, government Wechat, the combination of the two above, has aroused wide attention. It is now ordinary in people's daily life and has also brought convenience to more and more people. However, nothing is easy to be successful. During the process of taking part in the urban governance, government Wechat has encountered a lot of problems and setbacks, such as insufficient promotions and lacking of emergency response mechanisms. Therefore, understanding the developmental stage of E-government, finding out the causes and the problems of E-government in urban governance, and giving advice to relative problems means a lot to the development of E-government. This study can not only improve the running efficiency of government Wechat, but may also promote the quality and the standard of E-government.The study conducted a systematic research on urban governance by using the methodology of documentary study, empirical study, and questionnaire study. Firstly, we made a review and summary of the existing relative studies. We analyzed the key research on E-government and urban governance and the trend of future research in this field. Thus, we provided research methods for this study. Then, based on the existing laws and studies, we explained the core concept and the basic theories of our study and made a summary on government Wechat and urban governance. What's more, we stated the development of the E-government and its current status within the urban governance, as well as its weakness. In order to analyze the problem mentioned above, we set Shanghai Government Wechat as an example to make a detailed study. Through the method of questionnaire study and so on, we found out common problems in e-government practice and explored the cause of those problems from the following three aspects, that is the reason why government Wechat exists, the background of the government Wechat era, and the main operators of government Wechat. In the end, we made 10 suggestions from 10 aspects, such as strengthening top-level design, enhancing service capability. widening construction channels and so on.
