Research On The Development Process Of The Resilience About Community Inmates

This study used qualitative research methods, doing In-depth interviews to fifteen inmates in a district of Shanghai. Consulting to the definition of resilience theory, the study generalizes and combs the risk/protection factors in the context of one's "person-environment", summarizing the basic condition of resilience in different stages of "Normal Life Background -Criminal Case Process-Community Corrections-Community Correction Release" and concluding the development process of resilience of community prisoners in the period of "Original -Upheaval-Rejuvenation-Breakthrough Period".The research shows that the development process of the rehabilitation of community prisoners is in accordance with the development of individual problem-solving and demand-satisfying. The concrete manifestation is the confrontation between individual and environment risk factors and protection factors. The risk factors and protective factors are rich in content, and the game between the two is formed under the interaction between the individuals in the community and their environment. For the specific content, the internal and external risk factors of the inmates in the community include the cognitive deviation, psychological imbalance and individual disability of individual system, as well as cultural pressure, social exclusion, social discipline, adverse subculture influence of environmental system. And the internal and external protection factors of the inmates in the community include individual system of individual positive cognition, personality traits, self-efficacy, as well as the environmental system of social resources, social support, and tolerant social environment. On the basis of the interaction mechanism of cognition mechanism, time mechanism and reconstruction mechanism, the interaction between individual response and social work constitutes the interactive logic of individual-environment system, the risk factors and protective factors of community prisoners play important roles and form different levels of resilience results.It can be seen that the development process of the rehabilitation of the community inmates has its stage characteristics. The individual system and the environmental system present different risk/protection factors at different stages, carrying the interactions between individual-environment systems.Based on the above results, the development process of the rehabilitation of the community prisoners can be regarded as the basis of the system services, thus the basic assumptions and implementation suggestions are put forward for the community service framework and service system. In order to the assessment of resilience and the service orientation of case management, the rehabilitation service based on the triple-service path access and diversified triage, which is developed by the social workers with the development orientation of resilience as the core service concept.
