The Research Of Relationship Between Family Functioning And Community Participation Of Elderly Urban Residents Based On The Community G In Nanjing

At present,community construction is more and more important with the accelerating of urbanization in China,and has become a solid foundation to promote the development of modernization.Residents participate in community construction is not only the important purpose for community development,but also the important power to promote the development of the community.However,under the background of the current era,residents'community participation status is not very desirable,and the insufficient participation is still a big problem.Elderly residents is regarded as the important groups of community participation as they have returned to the family and community from the unit.With the intensification of aging,community participation can satisfy the elderly residents' growing spiritual pursuit to some extent and promote the community construction at the same time.The family is older residents' another important living environment after their retirements,and it provides the material and spiritual support to ensure the individual survival and development.Families always play an important role in people's life during the different stages of the life cycle.Providing certain environmental conditions to ensure the family members' healthy development of the physical,psychological,social and other aspects is the the function of the family.And the family function will affect the social behavior of family members directly,also the older residents' community participation may be affected by the family function.Whether improving the older residents' family function can promoting their community participation is worth to study.This study will discuss the relationship between the family function and community participation of the urban elderly residents.The paper aim to confirm the relationship between the two variables through mean comparison,correlation analysis and regression analysis,and analysis which dimension of the family function will affect the community participation most closely.And then improving this dimension from the perspective of social work.At the same time,exploring the suggestions to improve family function based on it's influence factors.Thereby,to provide the thinking of promoting the community participation.Through data analysis,the hypothesis of this study is confirmed,that is family function affects community participation and in elderly families,if residents' family function is well,their community participation will be higher.So,improving family function will promote community participation.And during all the dimensions of family function,the paper finds that family rules will affect residents' community participation more closely,and the social work method is applicable to improve family rules.The analysis also get inspiration that improving the family function can both from the angle of community and society,and then promoting community participation.
