Happiness is a kind of psychological feeling and subjective reflection for the reality.Subjective well-being comes from people's heart.It grows out of material life but also depends on how individuals evaluate his or her life according to themselves'set of standards.Subjective well-being closely relates to all aspects of social life.The influencing factors of subjective well-being contain three levels as person,family and society.Personal factors mean the characteristics of the individual itself,such as gender,age,health status,whether he or she is a union member,etc.Family factors mean the characteristics from family such as family income,the number of children,whether being married,etc.Social factors mean the characteristics in people's social life such as the number of participating recreational activities,the level of Mandarin,the degree of trust in others,etc.With the development of economic and the progression of society,people increasingly pursue the quality of life when the material condition has made a great improvement.Happiness is the eternal-goal of human which is conducive to ensuring social harmony and stability at the same time.Therefore,the study of happiness has always been an important subject for many scholars.The Communist Party of China insists on promoting the people's happiness in the process of building a harmonious society,this has also been written into 13th Five-Year Plan.So research on subjective well-being has great practical significance.China's union has a long history,and enhances its role in maintaining the rights and interests of workers through continuous development and reform.A large number of studies have shown that the union has spillover effects on workers' wages,meanwhile play a significant role in safeguarding the minimum wage,social insurance and other labor rights.The union in the enterprise actively takes a variety of ways,such as condolences,organizing staff training,safeguarding women's rights,organizing corporate collective activities,to protect the rights and interests,improve the real welfare and enhance the subjective well-being of laborers.With the continuous development of economic market and decentralization reform of government,the right of management is delegated to enterprises.As a labor organization within the enterprise,the social and economic values of unions are constantly highlighted.Since the reform and opening up,All-China Federation of Trade Union has covered state-owned,state-controlled enterprises,institutions through continue building and reforming the grassroots unions.Furthermore,All-China Federation of Trade Union tries to cover more workers and more enterprises.At the same time,it actively promote to establish union branches in non-public enterprises,social organizations etc.Establish an individual branch in the enterprise more than 25 people,and a unite branch in the enterprise less than 25 people.As the union covers more and more people,the positive effects of trade union are more and more obviously,the effects of union on subjective well-being will become more and more significant.The study analyzing impact factors of subjective well-being is based on Logistic model with CGSS data of 2012.The Labor Union is an important part of this research.The regression results show that there is a significant correlation between participated in labor unions and subjective well-being which means labor unions in our country has a positive effect on the protection of workers 'rights and the increase of workers'welfare.We can speculate the work of union can significantly improve the subjective well-being of laborers,thus enhancing social harmony and stable development.
