China's Foreign Policy In Latin America And Its Impact In Regionalintegration CELAC In The 21st Century"

During the last decade,relations between Latin America and China had a period of high dynamism,driven by China's economic growth and its greater global insertion.Latin America and China became strategic partners in trade,investment and cooperation.However,since 2012,China has had lower economic growth and with it an adjustment of its demand for imports of primary products.This has created uncertainty in some countries that depend heavily on the trade relationship with China.Especially in the Latin America and Africa region.However,China has long wanted to bet on a united Latin America,where trade is carried out through regional blocs with which it can have more diversity and in turn open up new markets.In this regard,the First China-CELAC Ministerial Forum was inaugurated on January 8,2015,when President Xi Jinping expressed his hope that trade cooperation between China and the 33 countries that joined this initiative will reach 5000 thousand millions of dollars in the next decade.Likewise,within this same context,a "1 + 3 + 6"Cooperation Plan is established which aims to promote and establish new investment projects,infrastructure,new energies,new technologies among others,in cooperation with the countries of this hemisphere..However,the region still lacks a consolidated strategy towards the Asian giant.This is why it is necessary for Latin American countries to consolidate a strategy that prioritizes topics such as technology,the creation of value chains,the expansion of exportable supply and the generation of higher productivity,which will generate the necessary tools to be equally productive with China and thus in a positive way.
