A Study Of Nanjing Traffic Police Psychological Crisis And Early Warning Mechanism

Nanjing traffic police bear the Nanjing city traffic management,as the inventory of Nanjing social motor vehicles continues to increase and the urban road system gradually improves,the workload of Nanjing traffic police is getting higher and higher.The job with high risk,high load and high intensity seriously impacts Nanjing traffic police's mental health.Objective:The early warning index of Nanjing traffic police's psychological crisis was established through empirical research and literature analysis.The early warning index system of Nanjing traffic police was established to build the Nanjing traffic police's psychological crisis warning network,and according to the results,some advises and solutions will be given at the levels of the public security traffic control department and the traffic police to solve traffic police's psychological crisis.Methods:In this study,the SCL-90 scale was used to analyze the mental health status of traffic police in Nanjing,and the questionnaire of Nanjing traffic police's psychological stress was compiled.Results:The level of mental health of Nanjing traffic police is below the national average level and the overall level of others.There are differences in gender,marital status,years of service,educational level,department and district in the condition of Nanjing traffic police's mental health.And these differences also appear in psychological stressors.Conclution:The early warning index system of Nanjing traffic police's psychological crisis includes demographic backgrounds,index of psychological stressors and individual characteristics.Demographic backgrounds include gender,marital status,years of service,educational level,department and region.Psychological stressors include tissue stressors,social stressors and family stressors and indicators of individual characteristics include personality traits,coping style and social support.Nanjing traffic police's psychological crisis warning network includes Party committee,mental health centers,the affiliated units,the police families,communities and expert advisors.This study also puts forward some suggestions on early warning target,early warning object,early warning principle,early warning time,early warning method and early warning process,and constructs a complete set of early warning mechanism of Nanjing traffic police's psychological crisis.Nanjing public security traffic control department can pay attention to the mental health of the police,strengthen the organization construction,improve the protection of civilian police's work and build a harmonious relationship between the police and other groups to maintain the psychological health of police and prevent people from the psychological crisis.Traffic police themselves could learn to master the methods of psychological adjustment,and create a good attitude to improve their mental health.
