Chinese grass-roots civil servants are at the bottom of the civil servant group,which plays a foundational role in the group of the civil servant in China.They are the executor of the public policy and the wielder of the public right.The quality of their work has a direct bearing on the interest of the public and the effectiveness of public policy.The occupational well-being of them directly affects their attitude toward work and the quality of their work.In recent years,there are survey study shows that the occupational well-being of Chinese grass-roots civil servants is low,which not only reduces the quality of their work life,but also reduces the efficiency and quality of their work services which is prejudicial to the image of public sector.At present,most of the domestic empirical studies on occupational well-being of the civil servants concentrate mainly on status investigation and research on structural dimension.There are very few empirical studies on occupational well-being of Chinese civil servants influencing factors.Therefore,starting with the influence factor of occupational well-being of the Chinese grass-roots civil servants,this study studied the effect of perceived organizational support and professional identity of Chinese grass-roots civil servants on the occupational well-being of the Chinese grass-roots civil servants.It not only enriches and develops relevant theories of occupational well-being and research content of quality of work life,but also provides a theoretical basis and guidance on specific direction of reforming and perfecting for human resource management of public sectors.Through reading many documents and interviewing with Chinese grass-roots civil servants,this research focused on grass-roots civil servants of Chengdu,constructed a theoretical model of influence factor of occupational well-being of grass-roots civil servants inChengdu and developed a self-developed questionnaire.By the pre-survey,the author got the formal questionnaire.Later,the author organized the issuance,investigation and recovery of the data processing.The author used SPSS 19.0 to analyze the difference of occupational well-being of grass-roots civil servants in Chengdu at the level of demographic variables and verify the effect of professional identity and perceived organizational support of grass-roots civil servants in Chengdu on the occupational well-being of the grass-roots civil servants in Chengdu.The findings are as follows:(1)The occupational well-being of grass-roots civil servants in Chengdu are different in such variables as gender,educational background,administrative rank,job category and work seniority of engaged in civil service.However,Variables such an Age,marital status and political status has no remarkable effect on occupational well-being of grass-roots civil servants in Chengdu.(2)The various dimensions of professional identity have the forward influence on positive affect of the occupational well-being.Professional role-identity has negative influence on negative affect.Professional value identity has the forward influence on negative affect.The leaders support and the material support of the perceived organizational support has the forward influence on positive affect individually.The leaders support has negative influence on negative affect.
