Work stress has been a key issue in management and organizational behavior research. In recent years, the domestic research on the work pressure has been extended to the field of public management from the enterprise field. The civil servants as the core strength of public sectors, is the carrier of the public power and the provider of public services. Their working pressure will directly affect the overall performance,service quality, and public image of a government. Therefore, effectively reducing the work pressure of civil servants, especially motivating the working enthusiasm of young civil servants and understanding young civil servants' need, is a serious issue for us to attract and retain talents.Our country being in the social transition period, is the premise of this paper. Young civil servants is an significant part of social population structure. However, due to the working pressure of the special working environment, the nature of the work as well as the traditional concept, the working pressure of domestic civil servants has long been neglected by society. With the developing of society and the transformation of government functions, the demands for public services are increasing, thus leading the highlighted increasing working pressure of civil servants, since they are the main supportof the public service.Starting from basic theories, this paper focuses on the psychological pressure in work of civil servants by analyzing the overall level of pressure of young civil servants, their pressure causes, and the pressure from the same sources but effecting on different individuals through questionnaire and interviews conducts. Specifically, the paper iscomposed of the following parts:(1) Introduce the theoretical basis and relevant literatures; analyze the pressure source structure of young public servants on the basis of former studies.(2) Select measuring tools; investigate the pressure level of young civil servants by means of interview and questionnaire.(3) Preprocess effective data;analyze the causes of young public servants' working pressure.(4) Draw a conclusion; put forward corresponding solutions according to practical problems.This paper mainly from the perspective of public management combining with the psychology knowledge, thoroughly investigates the current situation of working pressure borne by Dalian young civil servants, which put an emphasis on the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical situation. From the perspective of organizational management, the study is to achieve the purpose of reducing working pressure for young civil servants.
