It is inevitably true that everyone to grow old,and every family has older members.Of elderly today,be us tomorrow.Under the background of deepening papulation ageing rapidly,nowadays social participation of older people is becoming a high-profile social issue related to each family,community and society,being accomplished by huge aged population with longer life expectancy and good education.What older people needs is not just only basic living material of food,clothing,and housing as did in the past,it is about how to realize their values and how to participate the community and society in high level.We are facing the challenges by both rapid growth of population and rapid population ageing,which impacts tremendously on the economy,social development,welfare and well-being.In response to challenges brought by this global demographic transition caused by population ageing,the World Health Organization(WHO)introduced “Active Ageing” on a strategic view.Active ageing indicates that the policy orientation should focus on the rights and needs of older people at micro levels.Active Ageing is defined as the process of optimizing opportunities for health,participation and security in order to enhance quality of life,affirmed the social value of older people.Active ageing is basing on 3 pillars: heath,participation and security,acknowledging the role of participation and security in pursuing an optimal quality of life.Importantly,Active aging shifts the attention from a needs-based to a rights-based approach and focuses on intergenerational solidarity and on the community rather than only on the individual.In order to cope with the social issues caused by deepening population ageing,it will be important initiative to create opportunities for older people to participate in social development and realize their values.With rising life expectancy,good health and welleducation,urban retired older people has strong expectation on looking for employment and continuing their career and volunteering.Currently,there are growing calls to extend the retirement age to alleviate the increasingly heavy pressure on financial sustainability of pensions.In the meantime,numbers of laws and regulation such as China's " Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly ","12th Five-Year" development plan for the ageing-related work" and " The 13 th Five-Year national economic and social development planning" went into effect to protect better the rights of older people,to encourage their social participation to realize their values.Productive Ageing and elderly reemployment is an effective measure to address the challenges brought by population ageing,and also motivate the sustainable development of social and economic prosperity.Older people is an incredibly valuable resource.It provides the opportunity to reconsider not only what older age might be,but how our whole lives might unfold.This paper researches the re-employments and its related influencing factors during job-seeking of urban young-old older people under the background of population ageing.Using the perspective of active ageing theory,the author reviewed status quo of employment market for older people,and analyzing the feasibility and necessity of older people's re-employments.In the meantime,an empirical research was conducted in M district of Shenzhen,215 elderlies from different communities have been surveyed via questionnaire about their daily life and reemployment.Using Binary Logistic Analysis to analyze the major factors influencing the reemployments of elderly,the findings are: the age,professional skills and education background are the significant factors,while the sex,pensions and parent-children relationship are statistically insignificant.Introducing the positive experiences how to address the issues from major developed countries,this thesis proposed the initial countermeasures and proposals how to promote young-old elderly's re-employment in China.
