Impact Of Urban Residents Travel Awareness On Low-carbon Traffic Behavior

With the acceleration of urbanization,traffic congestion in big cities is increasingly serious,and the urgency of the motor vehicle pollution control has emerged.Urban travel is faced with meeting social demand growth which is caused by the rapid economic development and double pressure of low-carbon emissions.In order to implement low carbonization,it's particularly important for city traffic department to guide the city residents to choose low-carbon transport.Based on the theory of planned behavior and value-belief-norm theory,urban low-carbon travel behavior theory model is established by analyzing the relations between individual consciousness and behavior.Besides,the thesis analyses the factors that influencing urban residents' purchasing new energy vehicles and the use of low-carbon travel;the low-carbon travel includes slow travel and public travel;the influencing factors includes mental factors,individual factors,family factors,policy factors,etc.In particular,with the effect of low-carbon consciousness,the travel behavior of urban residents changes behavioral agent from passive encourage,motivation,guidance into subjective and motile low-carbon travel behavior.What's more,the thesis provides policy recommendations for the management and development of urban low-carbon travel system form multiple perspectives.By establishing urban low-carbon travel behavior theory model,the results show that the theory of planned behavior and value-belief-norm theory can better explain low-carbon travel behavior intention of urban residents.From the internal psychological factors,low-carbon consciousness has a low impact on the low-carbon travel behavior intention of residents,while subjective norm,perceived behavioral control and personal norms have a great effect on the low-carbon travel behavior intention of residents.From the external factors,government policy which has a great impact helps to encourage city residents to choose low-carbon travel.Based on the above conclusions,policy suggestions on the development of urban low-carbon travel are made from the market development of new energy automobile,the introduction of intelligent travel system,the vigorous cultivation of low-carbon consciousness,etc.
