Analysis Of The Behavior Of Rural Daughters In Family Endowment

Family supporting,as a mode of keeping the rural old people's lives,still plays an important role in the daily life even though the social security makes great improvements.Because the family is the basic cooperative organization to against social risks,it can also keep the family members together to be a stable structure during the communication.China has a traditional culture tendency of family.Most of us can't live without family,so do the aged supporting choices.In the tradition of son endowment,the women are always asked to be daughter-in-law to do a lot of works of care.The traditional moral education of Fuweiqigang tells them that they should painstakingly serve their parents-in-laws as a female filial piety attribution.And for their parents,daughters often have no time to take it into account.The process of modernization has brought great impact to this model of identity,and women have more rights to allocate their own resources independently,and the words daughter endowment have a certain legitimacy.This paper based on the daughter endowment proposition to investigate daughters' conscious or unconscious participation in the practice of family supporting.And the paper found that their economic supports and time supports did not fully show a completely alternative relationship,so we can divide their behaviors into four ideal types according to the different endowment resources.Based on the behavioral types of rural daughters in the family endowment,this paper has carried on a list of Multinomial Logit Regressions on the factors of her daughter's action.The conclusions of this study shows as follows:Firstly,as the changes of the family,more and more daughters take part in the endowment of family.And their preferences of original family and modernity improve the supports of times and money to their parents.Secondly,different from many studies,daughters in H country have no obvious motivations of exchange with their parents.Their behaviors,without tool instrumental rationality,are widely divergent with daughter-inlaw.Thirdly,the action of daughter endowment can optimize the structures of family supporting in rural areas.But the study also find that the resources,geographical and traditional gender constrain daughters behavior of providing more times and money for their parents.At last,this paper argues that China's family endowment system will develop into the direction of dualization,because this new family endowment model embodies the traditional family concept and the "filial piety" culture and modern lifestyle,it is a historical choice.The emergence of the problems can't be avoided.Our community should give the daughters more affirmatives to protect women's economic interests and independent awareness.And a better society atmosphere of love the old is needed to deal with the upcoming or already came social population risk.
