A Research Into The Dilemma And Countermeasure Of Long-term Care Service For The Disabled Elderly In Urban Areas

With the background of the rising trend of population aging,the aging trend is increasingly obvious.The population who need to take care of the disabled elders also increased year by year.Based on investigation of national disabled elders,by the end of 2010,the numbers of partial or totally disabled elders have reached 40 million.However,in consideration of social care service in our country,it leads to those elders in difficult situation.In the current situation,care service failed to follow up and it's obvious that the problem of taking care of disabled elders will bring challenges to families and society.Therefore,the related study on care services of disabled elders has extremely important theoretical and practical significance.Through consulting the related literature and data about the care services for urban disabled elders,the thesis uses the field investigation and interview method to summarize,analysis and research the actual demand of the Long-term Care services for disabled elders in H district,Jiangxi province.Through literature,investigation and interviews,it's found that there exists problems of the Long-term Care services for disabled elders,including lack of national specialized Long-term Care services policy system,low participation of social force,imbalance between supply and demand of the disabled elders,weakened function of the traditional family care services and insufficient community service for the aged,etc.Therefore,the author makes some suggestions and countermeasures,like put forward four-in-one overall solution which is the government-led,family-based,community-relied on,agency-supported about the Long-term Care services for disabled elders.In order to further develop long-term care service system for the urban disabled elderly,it should speed up to establish and perfect relevant laws and regulations,setting up specialized Long-term Care services insurance system conforming to national condition,accelerating the professional talent team construction and cultivation and promoting the development of combination with nursing homes for the aged and elderly patients hospitals for perfecting Long-term Care services for the urban disabled elders.
